Who I am

Hi! I’m Satine. I’m Norwegian-American. I was born in Utah and spent a lot of my childhood moving around the US and Norway. I went to Quinnipiac University in Connecticut to study film and philosophy. I have two Bachelor’s degrees in Film, Television, and Media Arts and Philosophy respectively. I have a Master’s degree in Cinematic Production Management. All done in 4 years total.

I’m a very creative person, tending to take on a variety of art forms at any given time. I don’t think I can live without art. That’s life’s purpose in my eyes. The creation and sharing of art is a beauty beyond measure. It’s difficult, frustrating, the great destroyer and creator of ego, but damn is it fun. Whether it be a silly little doodle of a beloved character or an epic heartwrenching rebuilder of a soul film, all are important and thrilling.

I live by the motto that I do the best I can given what I have, physically and mentally. I live that motto in every part of my life. Why spend time doing something if I’m not doing it to the best of my ability?

I have a beautiful sick cat named Bennett. I have a deep love of Star Trek, Norse mythology, and TTRPGs (I’m a cleric or wizard), and I get excited about building Ikea furniture.

We have a lot of stories and emotions within us that are tough to put into words or visuals, but pushing through that difficulty will reveal a lot of similarities between us all. Share your stories. Share your emotions. That’s how the world grows. Let’s make some art.
